Set against the stunning backdrop of Newport Beach's Emerald Bay, this session was designed to capture the essence of nautical romance. Join us as we share the beautifully curated details and unforgettable moments that made this photoshoot a true celebration.
The Vision:
We wanted to create something truly special, showcasing the unique beauty of a wedding on a sailboat. Our goal was to bring to life an elegant vision in the stunning setting of Newport Beach's Emerald Bay. We collaborated with our photographer "Lauren Hope Photography" to help bring this to life!
Planning & Design:
We wanted to create something that captured the essence of Newport Beach. When putting the vision board together, I worked to ensure every detail aligned with our plan. To bring this to life, we collaborated with our photographer, Lauren Hope Photography, who helped us find inspiration and plan the setting. We worked with our sailboat captain to guide us through Newport Beach's Emerald Bay. Our florist created floral arrangements to adorn the front of the sailboat, enhancing the nautical theme. These elements came together for a memorable photoshoot.
Fashion, Photography & Decor:
Fashion:
Laguna Beach Bridal was wonderful to work with, providing us with a custom-made dress by Ray Bagley, the store's owner. This flowy dress was perfect for a sailboat wedding and truly embodied the look we were aiming for. Friar Tux provided us with a black tux that perfectly matched our elegant theme.
Hair & Makeup:
We collaborated with Cynthia Hernandez from LA, and she was absolutely amazing! She created a natural glam look that highlighted our bride's stunning blue eyes. To ensure the wind didn’t ruin the style, she elegantly pulled back the bride’s hair.
Photography:
I discovered Lauren Hope via social media, and we instantly connected. Her work is incredible, and she worked with me throughout the planning process to ensure we captured the full vision. Her photos truly brought everything to life.
Decor:
We teamed up with a florist and baker to bring all the details together. Our florist provided whimsical flowers to adorn the boat and for the bride to hold. Our baker crafted a small heart-shaped cake with the word "married," adding the perfect touch to our nautical theme.
